Where it all started
After several yeas of career in sales management I ended up working in finance. When I started, I couldn’t believe the quantity of manual process being done using prehistorical digital tools. Looking for automation solutions brought me into project management. Confident about my finance industry knowledge and armed with lots of managerial experience I start getting involved into delivery of increasingly more sophisticated tech solutions. This pushed me to the point where I had to leave my comfort zone and venture deeper into the technology universe.
When it comes to management you can learn a lot from other people experience, join a good course, or make business literature your bedtime reading. It doesn’t apply to the tech sector, which is dominated by in-depth education for developers and completely lacking managerial specific material. I have done many coding classes, there was no amount of coffee that could keep me awake. The main takeaway was that the code is a language and if you don’t practice it on the regular bases your memory will erase anything you learne. I went through tons of literature and multiple online courses, but I found that only a small part of information was relevant to managerial role.
Desperate by not finding targeted and helpful solution for fintech leaders, finally, I decided to create one.
